Coronavirus Update: We’re here to help

Brian Sheridan, Senior Living Advisor and owner of Assisted Living Locators of Jacksonville Florida, shares insight on all things Covid-related and how they relate to assisted living and memory care communities in our area.

Since the first reports of COVID-19 emerged in the United States, assisted living communities in our area have taken special, proactive precautions to protect those in their care, and they continue to do so. These measures are based upon the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), other leading health organizations, and task forces at each community.

Although residents in area assisted living communities are strongly encouraged to get the Covid-19 vaccine, residents are not required to be vaccinated. Many assisted living communities in our area continue to host their own vaccine clinics and will continue to hold clinics throughout the year. The safety and well-being of assisted living residents and their loved ones remains all communities’ number one priority. Many communities are celebrating associates who have taken the initiative to get vaccinated and do their part to protect residents and guests. Most assisted living communities in Jacksonville Florida are excited to welcome back family and friends! Guidelines have been provided that allow for safe visitation amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Right now is a great time to move forward with your plans to place a loved one in an assisted living community. Many special price incentives are going on at this time.
